Who We Are
At Kintsugi Sangha, we embrace the idea that a thing can be more beautiful after repair than it was before it was broken, and we believe that the idea can be similarly applied to the human condition.
Everyone gets nicked and bruised by Life’s ups and downs. What one learns in the process of mending is a gift to share with the world. We promote this learning experience through meditation, conversation, and sharing.
Ours is not a formal sangha in the strictest sense of the word. Rather, it borrows from the old Zen ways that make up the sangha heritage and renders them more approachable for Westerners in the 21st century.
Formally, it is part of the Hollow Bones lineage, which is a part of the Rinzai tradition, which is a part of Zen, which is a part of Buddhism.
